Spiritual Care and Counseling
Spiritual Care to Elderly and Dying Loved Ones captures the struggle for meaning and purpose that our rapidly growing aging population faces as it encounters society's often feared topic: Death. Using over a decade of experience and extensive training as spiritual and bereavement counselor, I give the reader a front row view on conversations I had with ordinary but courageous men and women of various faith affliliations. Many of them found themselves battling against the unrelenting human forces of aging and dying. Others desperately searched to make sense out of unwanted chaotic events such as unpredictable illnesses that squashed long held dreams of a peaceful future filled with travel and leisure. In Spiritual Care, I give you a glimpse into the ups and downs of their lives as they encountered existential questions at a most crucial time. None of these brave individuals claimed great discoveries on how to live, die, or grieve. Instead, they underwent fear, anxiety, depression, loneliness, anger, and pain in raw form. Before transitioning out of this life, though, these men and women volunteered their uncensured stories with hopes that their experiences would add a measure of peace to someone in need. I believe their stories will do just that!

On Radio X I talked on how my book Spiritual Care was born.
Kevin Quiles recently presented on the topic of "Understanding the Person of the Professional when Dealing with Death and Dying". His presentation on the day of the event was wonderful and received rave reviews from the participants. It was informative, educational, spirtitual, honest, and true. I highly recommend Kevin as a public speaker to enhance any event.
